![]() ![]() THE LESS YOU KNOW, THE MORE YOU CAN BELIEVE This book is two novellas and three short stories. ![]() It's one of many layers in this amazingly well written and performed book. It's not horror, not really fantasy - although there's a supernatural thread that runs through the story, which took me a little off-guard when it first appeared, but I completely got caught up in. Stephen King also reads a central portion of book and he's just fine - Funny as hell in fact, when recounting "his" college years in the 60's and amazingly touching - when reading the chapter about Vietnam Vet/Street Beggar 'Blind Willy'. And Hurt's reading of every boy, girl, lonely parent, friend, scumbag and guardian angel is absolutely real. The book starts with "last summer" of young boy's childhood in the late 1950's. As far as I know, this is only recorded book he's performed. I am, however, a huge admirer of actor (and reader) William Hurt. I've listened to hundreds of recorded books over past twenty years. Touching, Funny - Amazingly well written and read. ![]()

Possibility 1: The Jews Stole the Body of Jesus First, concerning His enemies and Joseph of Arimathea, “Would they have stolen the body?” Next, we ask the question about His disciples, “Could they have stolen the body?” Two questions immediately arise about the stolen body theory. If human hands removed the body of Jesus, then we have four basic possibilities as to who did it. ![]() Since the evidence proves the tomb was empty the question is, “What caused it to be empty?” The empty tomb means two possibilities: the body of Jesus was removed by either human hands or by supernatural power. The question, of course, is what caused the tomb to become empty? ![]() What we do know is that the body of Jesus disappeared. Another "character" or rather element in the story are the spells, and their understanding came too late in the book to really appreciate (so that lent some confusion to what all was taking place in earlier chapters). The additions and/or changes he made were also unclear. I was especially confused about the "machinist-supernatural character". This is hard to answer because I feel as if the book is more story driven than character driven and was left wanting more character development on all fronts. The book ends in such a way as to be a lead into a second book, and I so hope the 2nd book comes sooner rather than later because I definitely want more. It has a steampunk edge that I also wasn't expecting, and was written into the story (and revealed) just enough throughout the book as to make the scare factor enjoyable but edgy. I didn't expect to like this as much as I did because I am way outside the target audience with regard to age, but I loved every minute of the audiobook, and didn't want the book to end.
